I have a Ford F150, automatic, 4.6L engine and it has a DTC of P0401 EGR flow insufficient. The Truck has over 70,000 miles, and I am thinking the EGR valve just needs to be cleaned or replaced. Am I correct, or is there something else I should be looking at.

Thanks for your question. What you more that likely have is a bad DPFE sensor. The base number of this part is a 9j460. We see these all the time.

This sensor has 2 rubber hose going to it that is near the egr valve.
