I have a 1993 F150 4x4 with electronic automadic transmistion with overdrive . It jumps between drive and overdrive continuosly. I took it to a transmision shop, but was told the problum was not in the transmision, but electrical.

Thanks for your question. Yes it can be something electrical. Do you know what trans is in your truck. There is an E4OD or an AODE. Did the shop say there was any fault codes stored in the computer? The shift solenoids in the trans could cause this but I would also want to know the level and condition of the trans fluid though.

Fluid is clean and full, I think the trans. is E40D I was told it is metric, the shop could not get any codes
