first of all i have a 1999 ford contour se. 2.0 l engine.
Well when you drive my car it goes great down the open road.But when you stop at a red light, it is spitting and sputtering! I just had a tune up, but its still is acting up! Also when I go to start up the car its like I hear air,but dont have no vaccume leaks.

Thanks for your question. It sounds like you have an inlet air leak going to your throttlebody. Throughly check around the air cleaner box and around the mass air flow sensor for lose clamps. Check to see if any hoses are off too.

I just moved down to louisiana from michigan, I dont trust any mechanics from here. This one ole boy told me i needed a tune up it cost me 138.00 for nothing. The second mechanic i took it too said he belives it is the intake gasket, and possibly the intake manifold. SO what do you really think? Also my check engine light just came on today too.
