I have a 2001 chevy tahoe that has an intermitant display for the milage and shift postion. The milage seems to be correct when does light up. How can I get it to stay on or repair it?

2001 Chevrolet tahoe v8

Already Tried:
checked voltage and ground at pdnr switch. reseated all conectors
