I have a 98 chevy blazer 4x4 with an intermittent problem. Sometimes unexpectedly (as always) when I try to start my blazer, the Security light will be flashing, it will crank over but not start. Im not sure if its an electrical problem, or what. In order to get it to start, troubleshooting begins with opening the hood, moving, jiggling anything that would inside the engine and then it would start. I don't know what part of the engine being jiggled is the cause or it by it sitting there for awhile not running. The main thing inside the engine that seems to jiggle is the battery. Do you know if there is any relation or can help me with a solution, I would greatly appreicate. I have recently acquired the blazer from my brother (which was his company vehicle), has 220,000+ mileage. Now my sECURITY light will come on while driving and stay on. Until I stop, it will still be on when I start engine right after stopping, but after sitting overnight it's not on. It is also intermittent. I don't know if these are related, but they both refer to SECURITY light.
Thank you
Margie
