How do I change the ignition switch in my 1991 Ford Ranger?

The other day the key would not unlock the steering wheel, or (of course) turn the inition over. The steering wheel has been pulled, and a new ignition bought. My manual was lost in a move I made this summer, and I am not in the financial position to purchase a new one at this time. Any help is much appreciated.
