The A/T shifter may intermittently stick in the "Park" position. This incident may be caused
by spilled liquids such as juice or soda coming in contact with the shift interlock
mechanism. A countermeasure shifter control device, finisher, and cupholder are available
to guide any liquids away from the shift interlock mechanism. These countermeasure parts
have been installed during production on all Maximas beginning February 1, 1995.
