I have a question, does the dash say "no bus" in the odometer area? If it does your problem may not be in the dash cluster but somewhere in the vehicle data bus system.

The bus is responsible for sending data information to all the vehicle modules including the dash. If this bus system goes down you will experience the symptoms you describe.

The reason I ask if you see a bus message is you may not see it and the bus may still be down.

A bus problem can be very difficult to trace down. It requires you to isolate the modules (unplug each one) and see if the bus "comes back up" or things start to work. It could also be a wiring problem as the bus is like a string of Christmas tree lights when one goes they all do. This would explain the ABS/AIR BAG and ENGINE lights on.

Some hints are if something else was not or is not working correctly for example; the transmission is not shifting or not shifting right, the heater is acting funny, the radio is not working it's a bus issue.

My point is before spending big money on a dash cluster module it would be worth the money spent to take your vehicle to be diagnosed by a Chrysler tech that has the equipment (DRB) to test the systems and properly identify the problem.

I hope this answer has helped. If it has please accept.

Mike
