Most likely a bad window motor,if you hear the motor turn, it has 3 plastic pinion gears that shear apart, you can remove the motor and install a new gear kit or 3 quarter inch nuts in it's place.Otherwise the motor will need to be replaced, you can try rapping on the door panel if the motor isnt spinning and see if it will go back up.

Rap on the motor if you dont hear it turning while holding the switch up and see if it works.Tap on it with a small hammer or your hand.Just like you would a starter.

If you have the door panel off it looks like this:

This is a ranger picture, but the same thing, you will find a connector running of the window motor with 2 wires, red and yellow I believe. Smack the motor, just watch your hands if it starts to turn, the regulator(window mechanism) has a large toothed gear that will turn down.If you cant see the motor directly, hit the body in front of the motor. Most fords have 3 dimples on the door skin that have to be drilled out with a half inch drill bit to gain access to the 3 eight mm bolts that hold the motor in place. If you have to take the motor out, becareful as the window motor locks the glass in place.Check out autozone.com for other pictures/info.
