Ihave a 1995 Blazer with electronic 4x4. I recently replaced the actuator and the vacuum switch (3 ports) on the transfer case. It was working fine until I went through a creek and now it will not switch to 4high. I can get the 4 high and 4 low lights to flash in neutral and it will go into 4 low but not 4 high. I am getting vacuum to the actuator when I put it in 4 low but no vacuum when it is put in 4 low. My actuator is good and the servo motor is engaging and disengaging. What would stop the vacuum from getting to the actuator in 4 high. Any place on the internet that will show me how the whole system works? Thanks, Fred

You don't get vacuum to the front axle actuator because it's not in 4wd when the lights flash. It sounds like you have water in the encoder motor circuits or possibly in the transfer case shift control module if water entered the inside of the truck from the crossing of the stream. You may also have water in the transfer case itself if the water was deep.Pull the transfer case and courtesy lamp fuses from the fuse bow in the drivers door area for at least 30 seconds then reinstall them and turn the ignition on and off 5 times and then try it.That will clear any stored codes and may restore the shifting if the water is gone now.
