Is it true that Gm angines, especially the 4.3 liter v6 are known to use oil ata constant rate. My truck is using oil at 56,000 miles and i really beleive its the dealers way of avoiding fixing it under the warranty.

ABOUT 1/2 QT EVERY 2-3 THOUSAND MILES. tHE DEALER SAYS THEY CANT FIND ANY LEAKS AND ITS NOT BLOWING BLUE SMOKE BUT THEY OVERFILLED THE SUMP TO HIDE THE CONSUMPTION SO THEY COULD SAY ITS NOT USING OIL.
