I have a 2003 lancer evolution and just got clutch ...

I have a 2003 lancer evolution and just got clutch replaced and car not wanting to stay on you press the gas and it just revs up and dies or moves a little bit.

Optional Information:
2003 Mitsubishi lancer evolutio 2.

Already Tried:
it will drive a little in 1st gear but wants to cut off the more you press the gas, at first it was going to 3rd gear then gas not getting to it or something

Sounds like you may be right, as that can cause the problem. First check the fuel pressure with a guage if you know how. and if that is ok then check volume by taking off the line and putting a rubber hose on the end. Then get a gas can and watch it pump into the can while the key is in the on position and look for a strong steady pulsating stream. Check those and let me know what you find. Also check fuel filters and replace if needed.

Reply to Herbert Lubitz's Post: actually I found out right after I sent this out causw my friend moved the airfilter and found the hose for the air intake loose so we fixed it.
