ACCEPTED Check Mark

YOu would not know until you removed the head and it it magnafluxed to tell if there were any cracks. Odds are if it did not get extremely hot you have a good chance of just being able to replace the gasket. Not the entire engine either way

I remove the head a few days ago and found anti freeze on top of the pistons. This car has been sitting for a few years. it has about 80k miles on it. It looks like to me that the block and head are make from aluminum. Do you think the block is ok? All the cylinders hold liquid just fine!

Thats not many miles at all for an engine. If the head does not look burnt and melted clean it up well, and replace the gasket along with the head bolts, put her back together, fire it up and drive it.
