1997 toyota avalon: how to replace speakers

I have a 1997 toyota Avalon. How do i replace the speakers in the door panels?

There should be a lable on the radiator mount showing the connections for your vehical. If not I would buy a chilton or simular manual. They are only a few bucks and contain a lot of good info if you are planning to work on it your self.

Reply to Firsthogman's Post: How do I remove the speakers from the door panels? Do I need to remove the door panels or can I just remove the speaker cover? Each speaker is enclosed behind a speaker cover. It seems that the speaker covers my just pop out if I apply pressure to the right part of the cover. I don't want to break the cover.

Unfotunately the door panels need to be removed to change the speakers.Glad you asked first.

Hello Bdavis.I do not have the Panel R&R to post for you but it only takes about half an hour and it's not very difficult.You could pop into your local parts store to purchase or peek through the haynes manual for your vehicle for the instructions.Theres only a couple screws and the rest is just pop out clips.
