We have a 91 tahoe RV. The fuse box would throw the breaker alot when the a/c was on "low". We installed another thermostat and tried it out at home. It seemed to work okay, but in order to really test it we had to hook up to 30 amp service. We installed an electric line especially for the rv with a double 30 amp breaker from our main power pole. The a/c ran but there was no power elsewhere. It immediately would blow the main breaker. Now there is no power to the rv at all. Even with the breakers on nothing works. The lights will work on battery. We replaced the breaker in the outside box with a double 15 amp. Did we fry the camper using the double 30 amp breaker? If so, what probably got fried and must be replaced? How about the converter. Could this be the problem?
