What is considered the trim panel and water deflector? Do I need special adhesive to reinstall? How do I disengage the regulator from the sash channel? Do i need a rivet gun? I never installed rivets.
Where is the regulator sector gear and backplate?

Water deflector is the long rubber at the top of the door that the window slides through. The trim panel you already have off if your looking at the motor and regulator. You should use a rivet gun to replace the new motor due to clearance issues, but the new motor will come with screws instead to use in their place. The regulator slides right out of the sash channel if you follow the instructions,it's on a roller. The sector gear is that half moon shaped gear the motor controls. That's what moves the window up and down. The backplate is what it all attaches to.You may do better to take this to the shop to have done if you havn't done one before. It may be cheaper in the long run.No adhesives are required. It's all held together by clips and screws, water deflector included.
