(Not a Car Question?)

can the bolts for a vehicles lug nuts be removed? if so how?

Sent to Car Experts October 13 07:20 PM

My co-worker has loaned me a vehicle(PLYMOUTH VOYAGER VAN)that she had sitting around collecting dust. When I first drove it there was a slight thumping noise, but now about 2 weeks have passed and the noise had gotten louder! The van now has a side to side rocking motion that had me very concerned. When I looked at the wheels I found that the driver side front had been replaced with the spare but not tightened up properly so the 3 of the lug nuts had fallen off and the lug nut bolts had been worn down so far from all of the vibration that there was no threads left for me to attempt to replace the lug nuts.
So I guess my question is this: Do I have to replace the entire hub? OR Can I Just knock out the 3 bad bolts and replace them with new ones.

P.S. If I have to pay you to answer this question then I guess I can but I would rather not have to since this is my first time to this site.      DO NOT TAKE OFFENSE.
