Hello and thanks for taking the time to assist me with my question. I am 60 year old senior with low income and I own a 1987 ford tauras, 3.0,v6,type engine, It seems to be running hot in such a way it causes radiator hoses to leak, sometimes the top and bottom. In past months I changed the water pump, radiator, all hoses and recently it did not pass smog. With the states assistance I had 500.00 in repairs done to attempt to pass smog. Smog repairs encluded egr pfr sensor, back pressure hose, wireharness repair kit. Apparently the engine has run hot and the harness was melted. In order to pass smog I took it to a State blue sheid station and they say I need egr solenoid,ECM computer to see the new parts. Another 500.00+ in additional repairs I can't afford. Will these repairs cool my engine down or do you think the head is cracked? I don't have water in the oil but I fear that I maybe wasting money on a lost cause. Any ideas as to why the engine runs so hot? Thanks Susan
