I have a 1992 ford F150 5.0, it has 120,000 miles. It started overheating about 3 weeks ago. I went and got it fixed ,thay put in a new stat. After the new stat it was running a little hotter then befor, used to be at the O now it is dead center. Today it ran so hot it almost hit the rad not quite but the reservior was bubbling like crazy and smoking. Took it to the machanic who put in the stat, He said he couldn,t find any thing wrong. He tested the compresion twice and checked out fine both times, he told me to take it to a machanic that specializes in head gaskets maybe he could find the problem. Does that sound right. I hope you can help me if not . Thanks Anyway. RAP
