cicic si transmission problem

my 99 civic si right side axle keeps popping out can you help me find the problem

It's just not getting locked in correctly. It probably has a bad lock ring at the end of the spline or your just not getting it in all the way.

is it possable for the transmission to be bad doing this. it jumps out of 5th gear , but the axle pops out at about 40mph. when you put in back in it seems to lock in ok.
