engine problems

I have a 1972 cutlasss supreme with a 455 olds engine in it.It will not start but the engine cranks fine,It just won't turn over.I tried starter fluid which always seems to help but not this time.Any solutions.

You need to first test a few functions during the failure.

1) Test for spark at the plug end of the wire using a spark tester.
2) Test for injecter pulse using a small bulb called a noid light.
3) Use a fuel pressure gauge to test for correct fuel pressure.

Once you have determined which of these functions has dropped out,
you will know which system is having the problem.
