air conditioner problems
Sent to Car Experts August 04 07:42 PM

i have a 1992 v6 engine 3.1 I have been having trouble with my air conditioner safety releaf valve poping off. I replaced the valve and the dryer-accumilator and evacuated it thoroughly I charged it up again but it never did work properly (not cooling properly). I tried to add a little more freon the low side was 35-to 38 and the releaf valve poped of again. Do you have any suggestions and do you need to replace the releaf valve when it pops off. thanks

It's the high side that you should be looking at. That's where the problem is. You either have an obstruction in the discharge hose, or the condenser or the fan just isn't pulling enough air through the condenser.

I have found that they tend to leak after popping off. It's a good idea to replace it.
