Question

1995 Pontiac Grand Am

Sent to Car Experts August 04, 2005 5:40 p.m.

I have a 1995 Pontiac Grand Am,3.1 litre,6cylinder engine.130,000 mileage. My question is the engine runs rough when 1st started.Almost like not running on all cylinders, but not always.Sometimes when reaches normal operating temperature, it will smooth out usually on its own. Or when shut off then restarted. Could it be the electronic control module? Is it possible to have it tested?

What has been done in an attempt to correct the problem so far? What repairs have been made to the engine or fuel system? Are any fluids being consumed by the engine?Oil or coolant?

The fluids are fine .I'm not losing any. I put an additive into the gas tank and also tried using top grade gas for a fillup ,to see if it would smooth out.

Can you access a fuel pressure gauge?Have you changed the spark plugs, wires or coils at this point?
