91 ford f-150 will not start
Sent to Car Experts August 02 12:23 PM

I have a 91 ford f-150, I have recently replaced the fuel pumps in both tanks (due to fuel issue)replaced the coil, battery, spark plugs & wires, fuel filter n relay, EEC, rotor button n cap, condensor...some others I may have missed. Now my dillema, I drove the truck last week and went to a store. Came back out and truck would not start. It will try to turn over but it will not start. Had to get the truck towed. I previously had an issue similar to this where it did not want to start and it was the EEC. I have replaced that part again and no luck.I do not hear the fuel pumps kicking on when I go to turn over the truck however this time. Usually you can hear them kick on.Any ideas? ~Angie~

The EEC is a system, not a part. What is it your changing?

You need to first test a few functions during the failure.

1) Test for spark at the plug end of the wire using a spark tester.
2) Test for injecter pulse using a small bulb called a noid light.
3) Use a fuel pressure gauge to test for correct fuel pressure.

Once you have determined which of these functions has dropped out,
you will know which system is having the problem

Reply to Hammer Time's Post: I was changing things out here and there as mentioned before just for the sake of the truck being over 10 years old and high mileage (150k)

The only issue we have ever had with the truck (cross fueling and the EEC) were repaired. The issue at hand now is that it will not start at all.
