antilock brakes

i have a 1996 gmc sanoma pickup truck and i have antilock brakes. i appied the brakes coming to a stop and hit a little sand and they tried to lock up and a buzzer went off and noe the antilock brake light on the dash stays on all the time is there a way to reset this and will the antilock brakes still work properly also when i back out of my drive the light is not on but as soon as i go forward it comes on i did a brake job on the front had rotors turned does it matter wich rotor goes on left or right thanks Danny.   glover59@localnet.com
