Can I get it to start again, asap?

I have an 1987 Volvo that has been sitting outside for a month, and now it won't start. It looks as though there might not be gas in it (even though there was more than half a tank before) what could the problem be and I can I fix it easily?

Spray some starting fluid in the air intake and attempt to start the car.Let me know what happens.
