91 ford ranger a/c will not work unless i jump wires at relay or put power to blk y wire.

The relay has 2 power sources. One comes from the computer and the other comes from the control head but it has to pass through the low pressure cutout switch first. Try jumping out the low pressure switch first. If that doesn't start it, you will need a testlight to probe the relay socket. You should have 2 power sources,)DkGrn/Org and Red wires), The Blk/Yel goes to the compressor and the Pnk/Yel should be a ground supplied by the computer. See which signals are missing. Here's a schematic to help you if you know how to read it.
