ford f350 on heatin/air conditioning dials on dash only setings that work are defrost and floor when turned to ac it goes to defog vents and so does vent settings. what could cause this it worked a few hours before with no problems then all the sudden it stopped.

That is vacuum controlled and you have a problem with vacuum. I'm betting this is only happening when the A/C is set to Max A/c. Ford has a common problem with the vacuum line rotting away for the recirculation door which is only operational in Max A/C. Look under the hood, on the passenger side and you will see a vacuum diaphram over there on top of the A/C box. Look at the hose and follow it back to the harness. I suspect you will find it rotted away. Just splice in a piece of vacuum hose that size.

max ac, ac and vent do not work vacum what vacum lines do i need to follow or to replace to make work
