Question

1987 Dodge colt starter

I have 87 dodge colt that wont turn over. it is not the battery and I have not found a saftey switch for the clutch pedal. Is there a switch in the ignition assy or what I think is the problem just the starter is bad

You did not say if it clicks or makes any noise when you try it. If it does then the starter is most likely the culprit. Make sure the battery leads are clean and check the black lead where it attaches to the engine. Also check for a small usually braided wire from the fire wall to the engine.It is the chassie ground and can get broken due to the engine vibrations.

After pulling the starter and bench testing the results were good so I installed another new battery and the problem is no more
