Reply to Davo/diablo666's Post: The reason I am planning on replacing the shift solenoids in my transmission is, a few weeks ago it started to shifting rough from start, then the service engine soon light came on, so I had a computer check done and it came up with a P1870 trouble code. I was told by someone that the shift solenoid may need replacing.

I guess my question to you is, can I get to the solenoids from the bottom of the transmission by taking the pan off?

I am assuming that the solenoids need to be replacing. Any help that you can give will be appreciated.

Yes you can get to the solenoids by removing the pan.It will not fix the problem though. It will most likely need a valve body there is a bulletin for that problem. There are other things that could be worn internally but a valve body has fixed most for me.Here is a picture of the solenoids.367a ,367b and 394 are the shift solenoids.
