Question

2000 Cavalier Zx2

Sent to Car Experts June 09, 2005 6:58 p.m.

My breaks are making a lot of noise and hardly stopping the first time I break, but after that they are fine. This happens everyday, I have taken them in twice for this and they tell me they are fine. The pads were done a year ago but I was told they look like they are brand new. Considering i have put a good 15k on the pads that does not sound right. Any idea of what the cause could be, roders, shocks, rear discs??

It sounds like they may have used a very hard compound brake pad. Your probably going to have to change them to a different pad. Ceramics will work out real well for you. Inexpensive pads are known for have a high metallic content which is not good for braking.
