Taurus SHO a/c compressor problem
Sent to Car Experts May 11 10:28 AM

Help, I have a 1997 Tauros SHO, I have not had air conditioning for 2 yrs. I had purchased a used compressor and had it installed after the original went up in smoke, but although it worked and cycled on and off I couldn't get any cold air Mechanic said lines and such were probably clogged. Found clean lines and all components except the compressor on ebay. Now I need the compressor. Want to purchase one online but need a part number can you help? 3.4l automatic v8 1997 SHO
Thanks,
Winston

You'll never have A/C if you keep trying to fix it with parts you find on E-Bay. Your going to be pouring money into this system forever. You need to fix it right, with new parts, the first time. I'm sure your going to need a new condenser also.

I still need a part number for the compressor. I have purchased all of the aforementioned parts and have had them inspected by a mechanic. I just need the correct compressor part number so that I will have all of the pieces necessary for my mechanic to start and finish the job.
Thanks,m
