truck ford

i own a ford ranger pickup truck 2.3 4 cylinders and some times gets weak and when this happens one coil works only the right side and the other work the left side only.whats going on here? thanks in advance....

Are you saying that one coil stops firing alltogether sometimes? Does it run good when it is working?

when this happens the front coil works only the left side while the back coil works only the right side.

when the truck is working normal all the plugs fire normal but when this happens it backfire and loss most of the power

i dont know if the plugs are the problems.what im trying to say is that when this is happening the left half of the front coil is dead and the right half of the back coil is dead.

exactly. another point is that this does not always happen. should i cehck the module or modules first?

Yes, i was just looking into it a little and it appears that it uses one module for all. It would really have to be the module to blame as that is responsible for signaling the coils as to when to fire. There really isn't anything else that can cause a situation like that.
