The car 1981 Eagle Summit, just up and quite running, the battery is fine, the starter works fine, engine spins over fine, if you hold the throttle to the floor the car will light off for about 3-5 seconds then quit, and the cycle starts all over again. The under hood fuses and circuit breakers are fine visually, can not even think what the problem might be. Help

Checking the fuses, circuit breakers, battery voltage test, battery load test, fresh tank full of fuel.

Hi, Welcome to Just Answer!

My first thought is , its out of gas!!! it happens more often as the gas gauge starts to read incorrectly. Spray some starting fluid in it and if it starts, most likely it is just out of gas.

Good thought however it has/had a full tank of fuel when it quite, so I'd have to say try again.
