Iam installing a rebuilt engine on a 1979 CJ 7 with a 304 ci engine. It has been a long process due to time constraints and I have run into a little dilema with the wiring connections to the starter. It is an Omni brand starter that appears to have only one connection. The cable fron the starter relay goes on this connection; however, Iam confused with the groundstrap from the frame to the starter. Does this cable go on the same connection with the other cable? I can not determine the connection for the ground on the starter?

The starter grounds through the block when it is mounted on the engine. The ONLY cable that hooks to the starter is the one coming from the relay.

The engine is grounded with a strap or cable from the frame to somewhere on the block for ground.
