Question

wobble durring acceleration

Sent to Car Experts January 16, 2005 2:46 p.m.

I have a 2000 voyager and it started to wobble at 35+ I replaced the tires, had them balanced twice, but yet the wobble is still there, I had the front end checked and they said everything was good. what is causing the wobble? it is pretty bad. Note is dose it during acceleration not while the van is costing.

It sounds like you have a bad inner C/V joint. You have 2 driveshafts in front with a "constant velocity" joint on each end or each shaft. A bad inner joint will act like that and I've seen many of them on chrysler mini vans. It may be difficult to determine which side without removing them both so you may have to just have both of them replaced. Also have it checked for broken motor mounts as that will make the problem worse.
