94 Chrysler Town & Country automatic - It acts like a manual with no clutch. When I put it in gear it goes (if I give it enough gas). When I break it stalls. Drives fine otherwise. What kind of repair am I looking at? Valve, pump, rebuild....?

Optional Information:
1994 Chrysler Town & Country 3.3 V6

Already Tried:
Disconnecting the battery to reset computer.

Reply to stin1974's Post: Yes, transmission fluid level and condition of the fluid is good.

I drove 2 hours and then had some clunking while starting to pass. I drove 1/2 hour more and more clunking.

The next day I drove back 2 1/2 hours with only a problem when I stop, put it in nutral, and when to go, rev the engine and put it in gear and it takes off.

I cannot press the break and stop. It acts like a manual without a clutch.

Reply to stin1974's Post: It has overdrive.

No I didn't have the fluid changed. It had/has a leaking pan and I added enough fluid over time it's clean.
I’ve owned it for 10 years and use it like a truck now.

I'm going to lift it and check the CVC joints and see what I can find. Probably tomorrow.

It drives fine once it gets going.
