I have a 87 chrysler new yorker 2.2L turbo.
I have an electical problem - where is the regulator located? In the Power Module
or Logic Module. The alternator has been tested and found good but I am not
getting the 14-15 volts necessary to charge the battery.

Another prosible problem - when I disconnect the Negative battery cable and
measure between the cable and the negative post I reaD 12 VOLTS WHICH
indicates to me that somewhere I have a short - pulling all the fuses does not
indicate where this short might be.

HELP Please - got me stumpted

ACCEPTED Check Mark

If you still have the POS cable attached when you do that then it's going to read 12 volts reverse polarity.

The regulator is in the power module next to the battery.

First start the car with your volt meter on the bat terminals and then take a jumper wire (even battery jumper cables) and ground the alternator to the NEG terminal of the battery...did it start to charge? No? Then replace the power module or have it repaired. If you want it repaired and even possibly reprogrammed to run the car and the turbo better, contact Cindy at fwdperformance.com
