I need to time my engine (318) 8 cylinder,1986 chrysler ...

I need to time my engine (318) 8 cylinder,1986 chrysler fifth avenue.It calls for grounding a wire at the solonoid Idle speed connector.As is told in a chilton repair book.And leave the vacum hose on the esa computer attatched.The problem is which wire? (Colred wire) In the connector do I ground and how.

Morning theman1955,

I took a look at the wiring diagram for your vehicle, and the process you are involved in. I beleive you need to ground the red wire.
