I have a 1995 chrysler new yorker that over heats.The radiator,water pump,hoses and thermostat are new.When the engine is first started the fan on the passanger side comes on.When the engine reaches operating temp the drivers side fan comes on and the other fan stops.[I dont know if that is the problem or not]Soon the engine gets hot.
Help!!!

how hot is hot? does it actualy blow coolant out on the ground? are the fans running when this happens?

ok to help me understand, did this veh just start overheating one day or did this start after some service? what was replaced first? does this veh go straight to overheat or do you have to drive it a while? it has high and low speed fan so if a fan is running that should be ok. were the repairs made at a repair shop or did you do them your self? with so much done to the car allready I am going to need much more info to try and figure out what could be wrong.

Reply to chris's Post: this is my mothers vehicle so I am not sure when the problem started but I suspect that the problem did not begin over night.I have a as degree in automotive repair but am not certified nor do I do this for a living.I did the repairs my self.There is no air flow restriction through the radiator.Test for exaust gases in the coolent system is negative.there is no restriction of coolent flow.I'm just about ready to burn it to the ground. signed frustrated

hang in there.these cars were a B**** to get the air out of the cooling systems and would puke coolant until you did.when the veh is cold open the bleeder screw on the t-stat housing and fill the recovery bottle until you get a steady stream out of the bleeder.use a coolant funel(screws onto the recovery bottle opening)and run a small hose from the bleeder to the funel keeping it covered with coolant. run the veh to operating temp and watch the hose for bubbles. if the recovery bottle and funel start to fill up and over flow if you free rev the eng a little then there is still air in the system.it could often take several gallons of coolant and a hour or two before these cars would bleed out sometimes.
