How do I fix a stuck throttle that only sticks at 45+ MPH
Sent to Car Experts March 21 07:21 PM

My Crusie Control works some times, however there are times that I can be traveling at 45+mph and my throttle sticks like the crusie control has taken over. I have to kick the gas pedal several time to get to release. I have turned the crusie control on off on off several times but it does not help

Check around your throttle area and see if you have any obstructions or pinching that is inhibiting your cruise from shutting off. If you have to push on the gas several times the cable could be binding up. also Your control module could be defective. Go to a auto junk yard and purchase one there. It will only cost a few $. You can ID it by following the cruise cable that comes out of your firewall. It is a cylindrical piece. finally cruises are run by vaccum in many cases, see if all your vaccum lines are intact.
