I HAVE A CHRYSLER 300M AND MY REPAIR STATION SAYS I NEED A NEW EVAPARATOR. I DO NOT BELIEVE THEM. THEY SAY I AM LEAKING FREON THROUGH THE INSIDE AIR VENTS. THEY USED THIS DEVICE WHICH MADE A BEEPING SOUND LOUDER BY THE VENTS. THE CAR HAS 4100 MILES AND IS 3 1/2 YEARS OLD. NO HISTORY OF A/C PROBLEMS. THE COMPRESSOR WAS ALMOST EMPTY OF FREON. THEY RECHARGED AND IT IS WORKING FINE RIGHT NOW. THE REPAIR COSTS $1200.00. I AM BEING TOLD THE TRUTH.
