 Tough one, My gut says Mass air flow. Try cleaning it first. If you've got a scanner, make sure your air and coolant temp sensors are accurate. Look at the data cold before starting the engine and see if their temps match. Being that it's a 3.8, keep a leaky intake internally as a possibility. Your not losing coolant are you?
