My 1999 Ford Tarus 3.0 has 140K miles. It will crank excessivly before starting, it will always start, but cranks about 6-7 times before starting. Fuel pump, and fuel regulator have been changed. recently check engine light was on but auto tech was not able to find any problems.

fuel pressure will drop off immediatley after turning the egnition on.
