I have a 1987 lebaron GTS with 120,000 miles original.

I have a 1987 lebaron GTS with 120,000 miles original. The car runs great but the check engine light comes on and the temperature gauge goes all the way up for 30 seconds. Then it comes back down and the light goes off. The radiator fan workds. When I read the code I get 5 and 5 which indicates there is no problem. Any suggestion on what it cold be?
