93 CUTLASS SUPREME 3.1 L .Idles ruff runs good .Some times will back fire Idle only.It will back fire everytime you rev it up and as the RPM's come down at 1500 it will pop every time.It has a new timing chain and the old one looked good, intake gasket, egr , fuel regulator ,plugs, wires, many brands of fuel injector cleaner and mobile one prem.Checked for intake leaks ,runs good ;Idles like crap.125000 miles

Reply to Hammer Time's Post: No light anymore. When I got the car it would hardly run.The fuel regulator was dumping fuel in the vacuum lines and running out the vacuum inlet out side the butterfly valve flooding the engine .Also throttle position sensor was changed ,and the light went out .This was a year ago.I ran it again today and sprayed starting fluid all over looking for a leak .Nothing showed up .Will a fuel injector do this ?I was thinking this ,but it sounds like it will make a single popping noise (back fire I figure) one time almost every time you revue it up .But not always the same cylinder as far as I can tell.
