Starting Problems

Ok I have a 1996 Saturn SC2 and when you turn the key it turns over and feels like it gets going but it doesn't start. If you have your foot on the gas then it gets going but right when you let go of the pedal it stalls. I have no idea what the problem could possibly be please help Thanx travis@mcwatters.org
