 You need to start with checking that the cooling fan workd and pressure test the cooling system for leaks. If all that checks out OK, I would highly suspect the radiator although the constant overheating could have done head gasket damage by now. If that happens to be a 3.8, they are pretty notorious for head gasket problems.
