I own a 1995 Dodge Intrepid. It just died on my wife today while she was driving. When I came to her rescue, I noticed a funny burning smell coming from under the hood. It smelled like something electrical burning. When my wife cranked the motor, the smell became stronger. We had the car towed to the local Dodge Dealer. They called me saying the repairs would cost $951.00. They said the timing belt was shot due to a bad water pump. Does this sound right or am I being had?
