am i getting ripped off?

I was driving my car yesterday and i went to go pull into a
parking spot and my 95 chevy cavalier died. I tried to jump it
and it didn't start. I towed it to midas where they told me it was
the starter. I just replaced the starter last winter and the
alternator just this past august. Am i getting crap starters that
are dying just as their warranty is up?
